Hello Julio: You are right the Granda is 100%
"asturiano". Granda is a beautiful village
in the Picos de Europa Mountain Range just south of Cangas de Onis near the Virgen of Covadonga Sanctuary. The name of the Village does not appear in most maps but to give you a general idea, Granda would be south of Cangas de Onis. West of Tornin. South East of Sevares about 7 kilometers from the main Highway that connects Cangas de Onis to Infiesto.
The best Hotel in the city of Santiago de Cuba in Cuba is Hotel Casa Granda right across the street from the Cathedral. I believe the Hotel was built in 1909 + -. In Miami there is a Jose Llerandi ( I believe he is listed in the phone book) whose father was Jose Llerandi Granda. I believe Jose Jr. is a distributor of electrical equipment.
Good luck in your search. Granda is a very unusual last name which should make your research a lot easier to conduct. If you have any further questions, you know were to find me. Ah by the way the Village of Granda is just 2 kilometers from the Village of LLerandi.I have great pictures of that area.
Sincerely...Francisco Llerandi
