My great grandfather, Francisco Catala, emigrated from Palma de Mallorca in Spain to Cuba (Sancti Spiritus, Province of Santa Clara) sometime in the 1800's. How could I find out when? Was he of jewish background? He married Rafaela Fidela Perez of Sancti Spiritus. They had 2 children: Emilio and Antonio. Emilio was my grandfather.
