From my understanding during that time period they did use the name Benson instead of the original Bengtsson.

Betsy was also known as Bessie and I am wondering if that is where the Bonie came from on the records. I saw them myself. I am actually working on Betsy due to one of the children, Elenor's daughter... is hunting down the information and would love to learn more about her family. We have a picture from Bayate Orienta Cuba of the family as well! I find that quite exciting.

Albert was in cuba from 1909-1912, his family leaving in 1913.

The dates for the births of the children are quite off though, how perplexing. I never analyzed the childrens information before!
