Thank you for that information. The interesting thing is that my dad originally had understood that some of the family was supposed to be from Germany, but no one really had any proof; unless, what was meant to be passed down was that there were cousins who were originally from Germany. Perhaps, they were the Seidels, if we are indeed related.
My great-grandfather was Luis. I don't have the exact date of his birth on me now, but I remember it was in the late 1880s. He had two brothers, Joaquín and Felo. We believe that their father's name was Joaquín. Their mother, for certain, was named Rosa Concepción, but we don't have a last name for her. The brothers Joaquín and Felo stayed in Cuba, and supposedly, at least up until the 1950s or 1960s, they were still unmarried as yet. My great-grandfather Luis came to Tampa as a young man in the early 1900s.
