my grandfather was Benjamin Piekarewicz-- his wife was Yudes. He was a barber. Benjamin died in the early 1940's. Yudes left Cuba in the early 1950's to care for her g-children in the USA Their son is Berol (Pepe) who ran the barber shop on 165 Luz St. from a young boy of 14 in the early 40's til he left Cuba in the early 60's. my g-uncle was Benjamin Joselevicz -- his wife was Maria Linietsky.. Benjamin owned many barber shops, in old Havana. All the families mentioned had emmigrated from Poland during the 1920's.. Anyone out there who knew my family? My parents, Phil Levy and Virginia Piekarewicz married in 1947 and moved to my Dad's home in Boston. My Dad visited Cuba every year over Christmas & New Year for a months stay. The neighbors on Luz St and at Boris' Deli called my Dad the "Cun-yado".. Thanks, Barry Levy
