My ancestors, the brothers Wenceslao and Saturnino Lora, sailed from the province of Asturias, Spain, in the late 1800's. Saturnino landed in Cuba. Wenceslao went on to the Dominican Republic.

Saturnino Lora was a general in the Cuban war of independence, and a hospital in Santiago de Cuba is named after him.

My father, Leon Lora Ginarte, owned the finca Villa Ursula, near Palma Soriano.
