I'm searching for more info about this family & also hoping to share info with other descendants of the same lineage.
DESCENDANTS OF AMBROSIO DIAZ
1 AMBROSIO DIAZ, b. Cardenas, Matanzas Province, Cuba. Married abt 1878 in Cuba to CATALINA GONZALEZ BARROSO, b. Apr 1851 in Cardenas, Matanzas Province, Cuba. CATALINA was living in Tampa, FL in 1900 with 2 of her children, DIONISIO & EALMIRA, & appears to have been divorced (although microfilm was difficult to read clearly). It also states she came from Cuba in 1897. Other children would've been young, too, but I've not found them or their father on the 1900 census. The 1910 census states that one child, FRANCISCA (below), came to the US from Cuba a year later than her mother. No more has been found of AMBROSIO DIAZ in the records, but we know from family members that he was in Tampa during the Spanish-American War.

3 CAPELINA & CARLOS MACHADO, twins, who remained (or returned to) in Cuba.
3 PATRICIO MACHADO, b. 17 Mar 1905 Cuba, d. Sep 1974 Tampa, Hillsborough Co., FL. He married MARY.
3 ALBERTO MACHADO, b. 18 Jun 1907 Cuba, d. Apr 1982 Tampa, Hillsborough Co., FL.
2 FRANCISCA "Pancha" DIAZ, b. 03 Dec 1889 Cardenas, Matanzas Province, Cuba, d. 21 Oct 1974 Tampa, Hillsborough, FL. She married in Tampa, FL abt 1904 ALFREDO ROSELLO, b. 16 Oct 1883 Regla, Savara, Cuba, d. 25 Sep 1957 Tampa, Hillsborough, FL. Their children all born in Tampa, FL were:
