WOW again! My interest in the Knapps is through my research on the Munyan family living in the same area. Augustus Munyan married Laura Knapp, who I had supposed was the daughter of Lemuel. However, she was not on your list from the Bible record. So I guess it is back to research. I have more. When I get it organized better I will email you.

My PAF notes on Lemuel Munyan:
Deeds in Thompson, Windham CT; Vol 8, pg 7, FHL film #5831
We, Lemuel Knapp of Charlestown, Portage, Ohio and William McIntire and Esther McIntire, his wife, both of Thompson, Windham Ct for $300 received of Willard Emerson of Thompson....2 seventh parts of the farm late owned by Deacon Lemuel Knapp dec, lying in Thompson...also 2 seventh parts of the woodlot lying in Douglas, Worcester MA....with the reserve of the improvements during the life of the Widow Mary Kanpp...dated 29 Feb 1820

CENSUS: 1820, Charlestown, Portage, Ohio; Lemuel and Junia; Charlestown pgs 33 & 34
1830 Charlestown, Portage, Ohio, pg 201, FHL film #138
Lemuel Knapp, males 1:15-20 1:50-60 (Lemuel)
females 1:10-15
1:15-20
1:40-50
On the same page are, Junia Knapp, Ezra Knapp, John Knapp, and Augustus Munyan From a History of Charlestown Township; pg 413, received by mail from Reed Memorial Library, Ravenna, Ohio: "During the War of 1812-14 there was little or no immigration, but when hostilities closed settlers came in rapidly. In the spring of 1815 fifty-six persons arrived in one party. They were Moses James, from Windham Conn, Lemuel Knapp from Northampton, Mass, and Timothy and Joel Hart, from Granville, Mass. Each of these sturdy old pioneers brought his wife and twelve children! That was the way they populated a country in those times. It was quite fashionable to have a dozen or so of children, and the couple who did not have eight or ten were not considered of much account. The Knapp family numbered sixteen, Mr. Knapp and wife being the parents of fourteen children. George Knapp, of Garrettsville, born in Northampton, Mass., March 14, 1799, is a member of this family".

DEATH: Ohio Wills and Estates to 1850, an index; published by Carol Willsey Bell, Columbus, Ohio

In 1832, Portage County, an enumeration of white unmarried youth between the ages of 4 and 21. Listed in Charlestown School District #1 are the following:
Junia Knapp 7
Ezra Knapp 2
Lemuel Knapp 1
Augustus Munyan 1
George Knapp 4
