Seeking more information on Dr.Seldom Burdon Overlock. He was chief of staff for Day Kimball Hospital, Putnam, Windham co., Connecticutt. The early years of the hospital's history is best defined by the then Chief of Staff Dr. Seldom Burdon Overlock. Doctor Overlock was an imposing (tall and in later years somewhat heavy set). His practice spanned all aspect of medicine and surgery. He was born in Maine on November 13, 1859 and was trained at Bellevue Hospital Medical College in New York City (graduated in 1889). He practiced for 5 years in Steuben Maine before coming to Pomfret and Putnam in 1894 (the year the hospital was being built). Also during his career Dr. Overlock was President of the Connecticut State Medical Society during 1908 and 1909. Dr. Overlock died October 8, 1934 at age 74 after a long illness.
I'm trying to find out who his parents were. And also if he was married and to whom. And if he had any children. Any information will be helpful. So far it seems all Overlock families can be traced back to one Overlock family that came to Maine from Germany.
Thank you,
Mark Overlock
