Stephen Boardman born 31 Dec 1727 Middletown, Middlesex, CT to Stephen Bordman and Abigail Savage - the first of 8 children. This family moved to Bolton, Windham (after 1785 Tolland County), CT in 1743 ("following cousin Isaac Bordman who moved to Bolton, CT in 1727"). Abigail Savage Bordman joined the Bolton Church as a transfer from the Middletown church in Jul 1743. Parent Abigail Savage Bordman died in Bolton 25 May 1753 and parent Stephen Bordman died in Bolton 20 Apr 1776 - seeking burial place of Stephen and Abigail Bordman. Stephen Boardman (1727-1760) married Abigail (last name unknown - help!) in about 1753 in Bolton, CT. Abigail joined the Bolton Church 22 Dec 1754. They had 3 children in Bolton: Abigail 31 Jan 1755, John 01 Jan 1757, Sarah 04 Dec 1759. Stephen Boardman died 02 Oct 1760 in the "Battle of Fort Orange". WHAT HAPPENED TO WIDOW ABIGAIL BOARDMAN AND HER 3 CHILDREN AFTER HER HUSBAND'S DEATH? I would like to follow this family and loose them at the time of Stephen Boardman's death. Until ... The oldest daughter, Abigail Boardman, married Amos Chipman (1751 Salisbury, CT - 1831 Sunderland, VT) 27 Apr 1772 in Sunderland, Bennington, VT and they had 11 children there and were buried there in Ira Allen Churchyard. How and when did Abigail Boardman get to Sunderland, VT? Did her mother simply move there? Did her mother remarry and move there? Can anyone help me figure out what happened to these Boardmans, please? Thanks - Janice - jlchipman@aol.com Notify Administrator about this message?
