Thomas McGrath and Margaret Powell McGrath Limerick to Waterbury Ct

Looking for parents and siblings of Thomas McGrath (b. ca 1814 Galbally, Limerick Ireland, d. 1902 Waterbury Ct) and his wife Margaret Powell McGrath (b. ca. 1820 Limerick/Tipperary Ireland, d. 1897 Waterbury Ct).

Based on census records and birth dates and places of their children, Thomas and Margaret emigrated to the States in the early 1860's.

I suspect that they were related to several McGraths who were in the Waterbury and Hartford area in the 1850's.

Two of their sons, Patrick and John, married Honora/Nora McGrath and Elizabeth McGrath, respectively. I believe that Nora and Elizabeth were the daughters of Michael McGrath who lived in the Hartford Ct area.

In addition there may be a connection with the John McGrath (b. Tipperary Ireland, d. New Jersey USA) who married Alice Powell.

Patrick McGrath and Nora McGrath McGrath (both born in Ireland, d. Waterbury Ct USA) are my great grandparents.

Willing to share information. Thanks in advance.

Kerry McGrath
