Can anyone place this three generation STAPLES family? I am trying to tie them into the early STAPLES settlers of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine?

1) STAPLES, Joseph (Born: circa 1685 ???)
m. ______, Abigail

2) STAPLES, Jacob (Born: 11 Mar 1715/16 Groton, CT/MA?, Died: 16 Mar 1776 Canterbury, CT)
m. CADY, Eunice 1741 Pomfret, CT (Born: 15 Aug 1720 Pomfret, Windham County, CT)

3) STAPLES, Jacob (Born: 26 Mar 1747, Died: 1815)
m1. GOODWIN, Thankful (Born: 22 May 1762)
m2. SEARS, Molly 17 Nov 1782 in Douglas, Worcester County, MA
