I'm looking for information about Magnolia Gervais(Jarvis) who married Maurice Wilcox September 14, 1918 in Norwich, CT. This was a second marriage for Maurice and probably a second marriage for Magnolia. Gervais may be her married name and not her maiden name. She had a daughter named Jeannette Gervais born August 18, 1907, who married Wilfred Landry. This is the information I have so far:

1920 Census Norwich, New London County, CT
Wilcox, Maurice        Head              age 34       Married       CT/CT/CT rent
(can't read job title) looks like the place he worked at might be Cotton Mill???
Wilcox, Magnolia       Wife              age 32 or 37?       RI/RI/RI        No job
Jarvis, Jeanette       Step Daughter       age 12               RI/CAN/RI No job

(She was born in Rhode Island, her father in Canada and her mother was born in Rhode Island RI/CAN/RI)
Interesting that Maurice worked in the State Hospital. Wonder if Jessie had a family member in there and that's how she met him? No, Sherwood shows up in 1910 Census. but they could have been released? Or passed on by then?

Per Frederic S. Wilcox and Thelma Landry McKinney, Magnolia had two children from previous marriage (Jarvis is married name, not maiden name), one Jeannette (Janet) Jarvis and a boy (name unknown). Magnolia's daughter Jeanette married Wilfred Landry, husband of Maurice's sister, Hope.

I didn't find any Francois married to a Magnolia but the only Magnolia G.Gervais listed in the 1910 census in Massachusetts was a patient in the Medfield State Asylum, age 21, married, 1 child born (Jeanette 1907), 1 child living, born RI, father born Canada and mother born RI. Her name is just like that on the census: Gervais,Magnolia G. There isn't another one in CT orRI.

The problem with the familysearch 1880 census is that you can't look up an entire household without know each individual's name.
