Jonathan Bitgood, b: January 26, 1780 in Stonington, CT, d: Unknown. He marr. 1st Hannah Stanton on July 04, 1799, in Voluntown, [then part of] Windham County, CT. Hannah was b: July 21, 1779 in Exeter, RI, and she d: October 19, 1806 in Voluntown, CT. Known children of Jon. & Hannah:
(1) Lydia Bitgood, b: September 30, 1800 in Voluntown, who marr. Henry Saunders (b: Abt. 1800 in Rhode Island)on February 17, 1822 in Voluntown. Both, w/ children, alive in 1850 (appear in US Census).
(2) Joseph Stanton Bitgood, b: August 13, 1803 in Voluntown. He died after 1850 (appears in US Census) and was marr. to Hannah Watson (b: Abt. 1812 in Rhode Island).
(3) Alexander Hamilton Bitgood, b: July 04, 1806 in Voluntown.
Jonathan Bitgood marr. 2nd Deliverance Stanton, who was b: November 02, 1787 in Voluntown, CT. They were marr. on March 27, 1808 in Voluntown, CT. She d. July 1811 in Voluntown, CT. Any children unknown.
Jonathan Bitgood marr. 3rd Hannah Greene, who was b: September 24, 1788 in Voluntown. They were marr. on November 17, 1811 in Voluntown, CT. She d: Bef. 1813 (see below). Children of Jon. & Hannah:
(4) Carlston Bloomfield Bitgood, b: August 26, 1812 in Voluntown, CT, & d: Aft. 1850 (appears in US Census). He marr. Charlotte [Unk] who was b: 1818, & d: Aft. 1850. They were marr. Bef. 1838.
Jonathan Bitgood marr. 4th Matilda [Unk], who b: Bef. 1798. They were marr. Abt. 1813. Children of Jon. & Matilda:
(5) Caroline Matilda Bitgood, b: December 06, 1814.
