Pomfret, Windham County, CT surnames

While searching the Pomfret Vital Records (1686 to 1865), I came across the following surnames that seemed very popular: SABIN, GROSVENOR, GROW, ADAMS, WHITE, WILLIAMS, GORTON (1 mention), CAPRON (3 mentions), FOSTER, LEE.

I was hoping to find some information on my great(x5) grandparents who lived in Pomfret, Windham County, CT from 1783-ca. 1796, but found nothing in the vital records. They were Captain Edward KNIGHT and Patience GORTON. Although neither were indexed, I found mentions of Captain Edward KNIGHT in the Town Meetings section. Any info would help.

If your surname appears in the above, I would suggest viewing the microfilm which is available at the LDS FHC.
