I am looking for proof of the parents of Betsey Young who married Thomas Clapp in Royalton, VT in July of 1803 (History of Royalton). She was born in 1785, but I am not sure where, possibly Hebron, CT
I believe that she may be the daughter of Ebenezer Young and Elizabeth Russell.
Ebenezer was born 15 Mar, 1756 in Hebron, CT and died 9 April, 1815 in Windsor, VT. He was the son of Ebenezer Young and Eunice Rood. Ebenezer Sr. died in 1761 in Hebron, CT. and Eunice remarried Benjamin Day. The Day family moved to the Royalton area and I think that Ebenezer, JR. moved along with them.
Elizabeth Russell was born 11 August, 1758, presumably in Windsor, CT, and died perhaps 1838 in Royalton, VT. They were married 21 April 1777 in West Windsor, CT.
Ebenezer Jr. also had a sister named Hannah. Neither of these people has left much of a trail. There is an Ebenezer Young listed as living in Royalton, VT in 1790, and I believe it to be the Ebenezer Young and Elizabeth Russell family.
Can anyone shed some light on this family? Does anyone have access to the Royalton, VT or Hebron, CT birth records to see if Betsey was born there? In 1785?, and are Ebenezer Young and Elizabeth Russell her parents?.
