Patricia, Found a good candidate: 1850 Census, Brownfield, Loraine County Ohio: Lewis Pease, 42, born CT Milpha, 21, born Ct George, 12, born CT Caroline, 11, born CT Suena, 10, born CT Benjamin, 7, born CT Lauretta, 5, born Ct Anson, 3, born Ohio Mary, 1, born Ohio 1860 census, same place: Lewis Peas, 57, born CT ??lpha, 40 Anson, 13 Mary Jane 11 Lewis 8 Sophia 3 Margaret 1 month In the 1850, I though Milpha was a daughter, but it appears she would be a second wife from the 1860. Next door in the 1860: Lawrence Ohdley, born Baden [Germany] Caroline, 20, born Conn. John 3, born OH This would appear to be Caroline Pease, daughter in the 1850 Couldn't locate Benjamin in 1860 or 1870. Not until the 1880 did I find him in Gratiot County with wife Lucy.
