Today I went to the Old Lyme library and having seen your inquiry in the forum for your grandmother, I made an attempt to get some information for you. But, unfortunately, I was unable to find any news. I looked thru the towns reports for years 1941-1950 and was unable to find LILA DERLIEN in their death reports. That is not indicating that those reports are 100% accurate. It looked like there may have been no deaths listed for about 3-4 weeks in between publishing of these town reports. There are other towns with "Lyme" in them.....East Lyme, Lyme, Hadlyme. By chance, any street address of where she lived in Old Lyme?
