Thomas Bou?ua of New London, CT ca.1830

Looking for information regarding a Thomas Bou?ua, (possibly Bougua or a 6 letter variation) around 1820-30 New London, CT. His name was written on the back of a Connecticut chest of drawers with country simplification (circa 1820 with New London, CT in ink) where it managed to find it's way to a rural Pain Court, Ontario homestead where I had purchased it by chance at a barn sale. Would love to track it's journey to Canada with some assistance. Thanks!
