Hi, not to throw a monkey wrench at you but here is some information that may or may not help you. In the now village of Niantic just to the west side of the Niantic River is a house from ca.1690 I believe called the Nehemiah Smith house. Also in town was a Capt.Samuel Smith house now an office off West Main Street. I believe the house was from the 1830`s.
