Elizabeth Steele b 1834/5 VA m JOHN COOLEY b VA, sons Norman G. b 1854 VA and Charles R. b 1859 KY. John served (Union) KY Infantry, perhaps died as result of service. Elizabeth m PETER P. COOLEY b 1818 VA, perhaps a brother of John, he served in (Union) KY Inf enrolled militia. Their sons (Henry) Harry George b 1868 KY and Zotto b 1872 KY.
Peter was a shoemaker, boys worked in drug store and for pharmacutical company. Norman m Emily, Charles m Sadie, Harry m May French of Princeton WVa. Family lived in Upper Ashland/Catlettsburg area (NE Ky up by Ohio border).
Charles Cooley died 6 Jan 1936 in Charleston WVA, Rev. Charles Cooley, Jr., known as Bud, lived in Durham. Does anyone know anything about this family?
