Seeking information about the ancestors, family, and descendants of Benjamin ANDREWS [b. 1711/1712, Middletown, Middlesex, CT; d. 8 Oct 1743, Middletown, Middlesex, CT; bur. Old Farm Hill Cem, Middletown, Middlesex, CT]. He m. Tabitha SANFORD. He was a son of John ANDREWS and Rachel SMITH.

Of specific interest is information about their last child and son, John [b. 5 May 1743, Middletown, Middlesex, CT], since I descend from a John ANDREWS who had migrated from CT to Smithville, Chenango Co., NY by ca. 1800. His children were presumably b. in CT.

I have scoured the Barbour Collection of Vital Records for most CT counties and towns for a marriage record and birth records of children for John, the son of Benjamin, but have found nothing so far.

My John ANDREWS wrote his will dated 12 Jun 1812 at Smithville, Chenango Co., NY, and it was probated there in 1823. He named his children in the will, but the exact sequence of their births is unknown, since he first named his sons [Stephen, John, Samuel, James, and William] and then named his daughters [Abigail, Content, Sarah, and Rachel].

Daughters Abagail and Sarah married brothers William BURGET, Sr. and Milbury BURGET, respectively, in either Delaware Co. or Chenango Co., NY. Both families migraed from Smithville, Chenango Co., NY to Harpersfield, Ashtabula Co., OH ca. 1815-1819.
