Lt. Richard I. Barrett from Connecticut - 26/11/1944
hello all,
l am researching the airwar during 1940-1945 over the province Utrecht here in Holland. Now l came across a crash of an American plane which had to land due to engine troubles on the nearby airfield Soesterberg on Nov. 26th., 1944. The pilot who originated from Connecticut survived this adventure and became POW. Now l am trying to find him or his next of kin but sofar my attemps were invain and to be honest l also do not know very well the way to go. The White Pages also did not yield anything. Can anyone help me with this case?
I have following information:
1st Lt. Richard I. Barrett, 0-802229
55 Fighter Group, 338 Fighter Squadron
Flying P51D Mustang, serial 44-14167, code CL-U
Lt. Barrett survived the war in Stalag Luft I.
Any help is very much appreciated!
Regards from Holland.
