Hi Valerie - Went to the library this morning. Looked at two books, 1) History of Fairfield CT and 2) History of Old Fairfield CT. There were Dunnings there but no Daniel. Looked in a couple of other Ct books and may have gotten lucky there. I copied two pages off for you, but am not too good at cutting and pasting yet. Will try to do it when my daughter comes over.
For now, I can tell you that these Dunnings were fron Stratford, CT.
Benjamin Dunning - d Newtown in 1739. His son John married Sarah Lambert and had 9 children.
Next came Benjamin Dunning ho married Elizabeth Miner - 8 children.
Then Deacon John of Brookfield CT and Hannah Keeler - 12 children
Then Richard of Norwalk and Wilton CT who married Abigail Betts - 9 children
Then David Dunning of Norwalk who married Hannah Mead Dec 14, 1746. Will dated 1777. Their children were:
Anne - married ____ Olmstead
David
Moses
Phebe
Aaron
Daniel
Hannah
James d 1780
There are other generations following. The source was:Genealogies of Connecticut Families - Vol 1 - from the New England Historical and enealogical Register
Hope this helps. Was the only Daniel I saw. If you would like me to drop these copies in the mail to you e-mail me your address.Linda
