Richard and Lydia Ingham spent their later years in California and are buried in Long Beach. On their tombstone are engraved 1828-1914 and 1837-1924.

The Richard Ingham of San Francisco (died 1890/1900)who married Mary McNamara states in the 1870 and 1880 censuses that he was born in 1827 in Connecticut. In_Connecticut town birth records, pre-1870_, vol. 2 (Barbour collection)_, p. 27, a Richard Ingham is listed as born Sept. 27, 1827 in Saybrook to Ebenezer and Harriet Ingham; but it is still not established as certain (by my research) that this Richard is the San Francisco Richard.

Christopher Ingham
