The death certs of the daughters of Ellis Henry and Martha (Teague) Tucker list place of birth of father as CT or IL.
However, in the 1880 census it APPEARS that some of these same daughters are living with a Mathew Tucker - Annie Mae, Catharine and Lula. Mathew is listed as Widowed by 1880. It says he is the 'parent' of 6 children. If you look at each child's record it says their father was born CT and mother was born TX. However, when you look at Mathew Tucker, the 'parent', it says he was born in TX, his father in MI and his mother in AR.
So is this parent Mathew Tucker the parent of these girls (whose parents are listed as Ellis and Martha on death certs)- or is he another Tucker that is taking care of these girls, and other Tucker children - Mary, Sarah and Mathew - in 1880 because Ellis and Martha are absent/deceased???
