Hello. This response doesn't answer your question but I thought I should pass the information along to you.
I see from another one of your posts that you tend to think that his father was Thomas Davis of Mansfield, CT.
From the pension file you can read in Daniel Davis' testimony that his father's farm was in Somers, Connecticut at the time of the Revolution, from which his brother Kitteridge departed for his first enlistment and that Kitteridge returned home to Somers, CT after each one of his enlistments from the various States AND at the time of his brother's final enlistment, Kitteridge was residing over the border in the State of Massachusetts just "three to four miles from his father's farm in Somers, Connecticut"
Looking at the earliest US census for Somers in Tolland County there are several men with the surname Davis but I couldn't find any Thomas Davis residing there. Of course, he may have moved or died before 1790 or you may have to look at some of the other possibilities from Somers as being the father of Kitteridge Davis.
