Who was young Titus Brown? Norfolk, Ct? His father was a patriot and helped settle early Norfolk. He lived to 1802 and died at Norfolk.
His son, Titus b. abt 1755
was perhaps not so patriotic and may have sided with the British in the REV WAR. We found Titus settling in New Brunswick, Canada at 1783 or so, when the Loyalists removed there. We believe that he married Martha Whelpley and settled on the Kingston Peninsula.
In opposition to this idea, the local history of Norfolk indicates that young Titus died in May 1782 [age 27],exactly one year before the spring fleet and the first Loyalist ships arrived at Saint John, NB. What if his family disowned him and considered him dead? Anyone, have any idea?
