It was only a small article in the Hartford Courant April 14, 1905
Needless Fire Alarm
A hanging gas bracket in M Rosen's tailor shop, No. 56 Village Streetk broke shortly before 11 o'clock las evening and the gas escaping from the opening at the ceiling caught fire. The screwing of a cup over the opening by the firemen ended the trouble.

Sorry, not much information, I just thought because you listed the Village Street it might be of use...
