One of the most prominent Howitt's was http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Howitt http://calisto.slv.vic.gov.au/latrobejournal/issue/latrobe-12/t1-g-t2.html I saw this http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dan_Howitt&redirect=no http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Howitt But these appear to be of different origin. In Australia there is also Mount Howitt. The people of this name have a long history there. I believe starting in the 1800's. Notify Administrator about this message?
