Information I know on George Ott Middleton. Married Isabell Smith (have seen her name as Smyth) 27 Mar 1867 Bridgton NJ. This confirmed by copy of marriage ledger from NJ. His parents listed as John & Mary, Hers as William & Eliza. The 1800 Census list them living in WV Kanawha County, Malden. He is listed as a stone mason with Isabell & Five children. Alfaretta bn NJ, Ono bn WV, Ida bn WV, Olo bn WV, Elmer bn WV. (John bn 1889 WV.) Pension records from Natl' Archives list him as joining the Conn Inf 4th Reg., then the 1st hvy arty 22 May 1861 (Conn Vol Inf). Mustered out 21 May 1864 at Berumada Hundred VA. The 1900 census for Ohio lists him as an inmate (Central Br Natl' Home for Disabled Volunters.) He then went to Fitch's Old Soldiers Home in Darien Conn., He died there & is buried in the Spring Grove Cemetery. He died 9 Nov 1904, listed in the Records of Deaths for the town of Darien, Conn. Age 69. Now, I am searching for his birth. I have seen it listed as PA, NJ, & Conn. Have no idea which it correct. If you should have any questions email me feads@triad.rr.com I am searching the census but really have no direction. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks
