I believe that Alexander Anderson and his son David Anderson that lived in Aylesford, Nova Scotia, Canada in the mid and late 1800's were related to the James Anderson mentioned below. I need to find the connection. It is possible that James Anderson may have been a Loyalists that went to Canada as many did before and during the American Revolution.

James ANDERSON was christened 1 July 1727 at Montville, New London, Connecticut, the son of John and Margaret (DIXSON) ANDERSON. He died some time after 1803, probably at Hopewell, New Brunswick since that is where he is buried.
He married 1750 at Horton, Kings Co., NS, Rebecca Dixon, his second cousin, born 12 January, 1725/1726 at Colchester, New London, CT, daughter of William DIXSON.
Among the children of James ANDERSON and Margaret DIXON were: a daughter who married Jonathan BISHOP, Rebecca who married Nehemiah STEVENS, Mary who married Jason FORSYTH, James Jr. who married Hannah BISHOP and Nancy who married 20 April, 1773 at Horton, NS, Lemuel Martin, son of Brotherton Martin.
