I decided to search Marie Dunn's on the 1900 NYC census and found her living with boarders along with her 2 year old daughter Sadie, who I am hoping is my grandmother Sarah, the age is close.
.. Manhattan.. is the borough...

I was told that in fact it does take a long while to get information from Ct and I still have not receieved the marriage records I sent for over 3 months ago... I did my searching in Albany New York at the archives..on Ancestry. Ct did tell me that Marie Dunn was the person who was listed at the person who married Benjamin Grisko in 1901 Ct and they had a son named Glenette..who would be Sarah's / brother..

There is a Marie Hughes on the 1880 census but at this point I am not sure..if she is the right one.. also NYC..
