Address help in Milford

My uncle was a resident of 6 Center Street in Milford when he died in 1964. Can anyone tell me what that was? Some sort of institution such as a hospital or rest home, or a private home or apartment? I understand he was working as an orderly in some type of institution. He actually died in a hospital in Newtown, CT. Thank you.
