Bullock / Stanford / Harney NY>New Haven, Windham 1800's
I'm looking for descendents of the following..
John Bullock b.C. 1830 NY supposedly son of a protestant minister.
Married Jane Stanford (Irish Catholic)b. 1830 in Ireland (dau. of James and Susan Mason Stanford) in New Haven, CT in early 1850s.
Children:
Elizabeth or Esther Ann Bullock b. 1854
Mary Jane Bullock b. 1859 New Haven, CT
Jane Bullock b. 1860 New Haven, CT
John H. Bullock b. New Haven,1861 CT
Susan Bullock b. 1863 New Haven,CT
Benjamin Bullock b. 1866 New Haven,CT
Alfred Bullock b. 1868 New Haven, CT
In 1870 the family was living in New Haven, CT.
In 1880, they lived in Thompson, Windham Co.,CT
John and all of the children worked as Cotton Weavers.
Mary Jane married Robert Harney b. 1860 RI
They lived with John and Jane in 1880.
In 1900 they lived in Northridge, Worcester, Mass with children.
In 1900 there is an Albert Bullock and wife(?) Mary boarding in Plainfield, Windham Co, CT and both were working as cotton weavers. Albert's age doesn't match..but otherwise seems to be him.
In 1900 Benjamin seems to be age 34, Single, boarding in Woonsocket, Providence, RI and working as a cotton weaver.
I can't find John, or other girls after 1880.
In 1860 there is a family in Hamden, New Haven, CT that seems to be John, Jane and girls, but the husband is listed as "James" and is listed as being born in CT..and the girls as being born in NY.
The listing is:
James Bullock b. 1830 CT
Janie Bullock b. 1830 Ireland
Esther Ann Bullock b. 1854 NY
Mary J. Bullock b. 1859 NY
I'm related through the Stanfords.. Jane's brother Edward was my Great Great Grandfather.
Any info is appreciated.
