Pat I've looked for years for the girls on the 1900 census and I think I just located Minnie. She's listed as Clark and not Teeter. Year: 1900; Census Place: Winchester, Litchfield, Connecticut; Roll: T623 141; Page: 9A; Enumeration District: 266. pg 17 of 40 6 June 1900 1900 United States Federal Census Name: Minnie Clark Home in 1900: Winchester, Litchfield, Connecticut Age: 17 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1883 Birthplace: Connecticut Relationship to head-of-house: Servant Race: White Occupation: Neighbors: Household Members: Name Age Abbie Newton 67 Sarah N Lincoln 50 Samuel N Lincoln 26 Gertrude R Lincoln 25 Marjorie M Lincoln 9.12 Minnie Clark 17 March 1883 CT,CT,CT Amy M Finkle 35 Mary Alling 50 -------------------- Hattie Clark, not Teeter Year: 1900; Census Place: Goshen, Litchfield, Connecticut; Roll: T623 140; Page: 4B; Enumeration District: 236. Page 8 of 17 7 June 1900 1900 United States Federal Census Name: Hattie B Clark Home in 1900: Goshen, Litchfield, Connecticut Age: 15 Estimated birth year: abt 1885 Birthplace: Connecticut Relationship to head-of-house: Boarder Race: White Occupation: Neighbors: Household Members: Name Age Alexa Dickinson 71 Sarah T Dickinson 70 Hattie B Clark 15 Nov 1884 at school last 6 months (boarder) listed, CT. for her and both parents ------------------------------------- Eva Clark Cook, lived with a Bartholomew family for some time, she was not adopted but I believe this is her. 1900 United States Federal Census Name: Eva Bartholomew Home in 1900: New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut Age: 13 Estimated birth year: abt 1887 Nov 1887 Birthplace: Connecticut Relationship to head-of-house: Daughter Father's name: Charles H Mother's name: May P Race: White Occupation: Neighbors: Household Members: Name Age Charles H Bartholomew 34 May P Bartholomew 39 Eva Bartholomew 13 Emma Bartholomew 19 ----------------------------------------------- I even jumped back on to see if I could locate a George F. Clark, but no luck, but I've never found George F. Teeter on the 1900 census. I'm wondering now if mother Ella might have been a Clark and never married George Teeter?? but just had his children and at a later date they used the Teeter surname.
