LOOMIS, Clifford Newbury

I recently attended the 90th b'day party for Clifford Newbury LOOMIS. And his younger brother George, 85 yo, was there too! Here are some key points I learned. From a cemetery survey by George’s daughter their paternal grandparents were Allen P. (interned 1/7/1913) and Mary GREEN (interned 7/11/1951). Uncle Clifford told the story how his step-grandfather committed suicide with his, Uncle Clifford’s, shotgun and how he had a “heck” of a time getting it back. So I’m thinking Mary UNK Loomis remarried after Allen P. died in 1913 to UNK Green who killed himself at least sometime after 1937 when Uncle Clifford would have been 20 and old enough to get involved?
On his maternal side his grandparents were Clifford C. NEWBURY, interned 4/2/1923, and Emma J., interned 6/7/1921. At familysearch.org Emma J. is listed as Emma Jane GILBERT (b 10/27/1845, m 12/4/1867). Does this ring any bells with anyone? Thanks in advance!
