Samuel Canfield/trainband/1738

CT Colonial Records of 1738 list a Samuel Canfield as commissioned Ensign to the New Milford, Litchfield, CT trainband. Is anyone able to identify the parents (and possibly grandparents)of this Samuel? I have a number of Samuel's without dates in my database and want to know if he is in my line. Thank you.
