Jo,
Found this family on the 1850 census for Colebrook, Litchfield CT:
Joseph M. Button, age 26, born Massachusetts
Frances E. age 21, born CT
Albert M. age 2, born CT
Frances J. age 3 months.

If this is your family (and I could find no other Button family even close), the wife might be Frances Elvira and their son Albert might be named for his grandfather?.

I found Albert Parrit and family in the 1830 census only. No sign of them after that, anywhere, and they did have a daughter under age 5, which would fit with the age of France E. above.

I tried tracing this Button family forward, but I would need to know where they went or what State they might have been in between 1860 and 1880 in order to locate them for sure.

Bill St. George
