They settled in originally Trumble, then Portage then Summit COunty in Hudson County OH. What threw me off the track was that a book mentioned that Marmaduke Deacon (Dacon, Dakin) came from Washington County, PA. Possibly en route to Ohio but they were there in 1803. Mary Carter was Marmaduke's wife and they had 2 sons John and William. The Oviatt's were mentioned in connection with the Deacons and there was a marriage between a Deacon and a Oviatt. So presume that they were not related to each other. The town of Goshen was mentioned also. So will try the small towns of Litchfield County. Thanks
