Hi, Pat!

Yes, we meet again! :-) You were the one who started it all with Mary Lackie McLelland's obituary, which you so kindly sent to me. This is why we started researching West Cemetery records.

Anyhow, thank-you so much for responding again AND taking that walk. I really should have updated my post, as we have recently received info back from West Cemetery Association about McLelland plots.

You were right on the spot, though! The Mclelland names that they have interment records for were:

Sec 14, lot 84 W.H.: Donald E McLelland, Louise McLelland and Clara Mary McLelland

In the same section, six graves over to the left and then three or four up, are these:

Sec 14, lot 50 E.H.: Walter Walden McLelland, Gerard Walden McLelland and Mary Lackie McLelland.

And last but not least, waaaay on the other side, is:

Sec 5, lot 13-R: Douglas R McLelland, Alice Maude Simpson, and William Simpson. Douglas was Mary and Walter's son, but we're thinking, at this point, that perhaps he married into the Simpson family, and his wife has not passed yet. (Alice and William being the parents of his wife). Douglas passed in 1985 at the age of 65, so it's possible that his wife is still living at the age of 80 something).

The plots (I believe they are about five or six of them) are actually Johnson plots. We're not quite sure how the Johnson's fit in, but it appears that they have a large portion of the circle there.

I don't think the name Kenyon is related...were the stones situated like perhaps they were?

In any case, if at all possible, I would simply love digital pictures, if you can still do this. Please let me send you something for your time and trouble! I didn't realize just how big West Cemetery was (until they sent me the map!) or how big an endeavor this would be.

My daughter and I walked St Anne's here in Middletown for a lister once, but it's just a small little thing. But we had the greatest talk while doing it...it was so peaceful and quiet and we straightend up flowers and flags while looking for the names for this person (never did find, unfortunetly). But we talked about the names and dates we did see on some of the very old ones, and about what our own wishes would be. I felt very close to her...and that's sometimes hard to do with a teenager! :-)

Well, I'm rambling. Thanks again for the info Pat!
