Sylvia, I appreciate your response so much. If I could find out that my Jacob's other name was Oliver, that would be great. Counting his wife, there would be five women in the house. There were also two sons.

I will consider joining ancestry.com. I had thought about the possiblility that he moved away but since we had Farmington for his place of death, that didn't seem likely. Did you, by chance, check Jacob Michael? This is so discouraging.

If you think of anything or anywhere else I should try, I would be most happy to hear about it.
