I checked CT censuses on www.ancestry.com and there was a Jacob Mitchell in township #00200-10100-00,Hartford Co. in 1800, Farmington, Hartford in 1850, and in 1860 was in New Haven, New Haven Co, CT. In 1790 there was a Jacob Mitchell in Bridgewater, Plymouth Co, MA. Also in Farmington in 1850 was a Charles Mitchell. The only Mitchell in E. Windsor was in 1790 and that was an Oliver. Also in his household were 5 females. He was listed as being in Windsor in 1810 and in Southbury, New Haven Co in 1840.
Oct 30,1799 in Waterbury, New Haven Co, a Jacob Mitchell died at age 82. He was a widower.

If you aren't a paid member of Ancestry.com, you should try it. For $60 for one year, you can find really good stuff.
