I believe James Brown died between 1886 and 1891. Or he left the country. My mother said he died when Grace (Brown) Dalrymple Schofield was very young.

I was in contact with a Scottish distant cousin several years ago, he was very helpful on the Dalrymple side. He can trace the family back to about 1790.
