I have a place for you to start.
I searched for the New Britain Town Farm in the Hartford Courant Archives and 10,000+ articles appeared. It was talked about alot in the Hartdort Courant, if you have any access to that paper it will be worth your while.
Meanwhile I have narrowed down a few articles. It appears that the Town Farm was sold Sept 1955 after 65 years. It does have mention of streets and possibly using the old Farm for a Convalesant Home, so most likely you can find your answers using these articles. I can send them to you if you drop me an email
