Well, Miss jamm, we certainly like opening a can of worms, don't we. I have a Francis Woods marrying Mary ( Chute ) on Sept. 5, 1868. And I have a John Woods being born in 1869 in Ct. But John's parents are Edward & Bridget Woods. We have Francis, Edward,& my grgrfather William Chute all working at the same place, maybe they all lived in the same apartment building. They were related,John and William Jr. were the same age. I have three different 1880 census reports about the Chute's. One with young John, one with an Andrew Chute, ( different branch ), and one with the correct members, ( no nephews ). I know that William and family lived mostly on Beaver St. I'll bet they did all live at the same building. Have you ever noticed how accurate those old records are? In 1870 Bridget was 30 yrs. old. Ten years later she was 12 yrs. older! And yes, they probably do have young John living in 2 places. And thanks for the information. Every bit helps. Notify Administrator about this message?
