Pat,

The will was contested by James Cassidy's neice Delia (Jennie) Cassidy Nichols husband Charles. It seems as though Michael Cassidy first cousin to James claimed he was the only relative and tried to inherit everything. When Jennie and her husband charles contested the will.

Jennie had nine siblings. John,William, James and Edward Cassidy. Mary Kelly, Margaret Somers, Catherine Cassidy, Julia Willard, Sara Dunleavy Collins.

Michael had siblings James and John Cassidy and sisters Elizabeth Condon and mary Ann Condon. Both girls married Condon's.

By 1899 James Cassidy and Mary Kelly siblings of Jennie were deceased. Amazingly enough the final settling of this will did not take place until 1926.

But I'll double check the will but I could swear i went through it with a find toothcomb and no address or husbands name for bridget cassidy burns.

Margaret
