Marilyn,
I stopped there just today to look at the stones. Some are
in great shape and some are deteriorated.
There is a sign that says there is a restoration going on and they ask that the stones not be leaned on or touched.

I would say if you were in the area, and decided to photgraph a stone you might have success.. but perhaps if you are traveling any distance you might want someone to tell you the shape of the headstones you are interested in.

The ancient burying ground is within a larger cemetery.
It is behind a church around Main and Church Street in Old Wethersfield. It is directly across from Old Comstock Feree, or Wethersfield Cove (off the Ct River) anyone in the town would know the location. It is a picturesque area and walking around there is not a problem.
Like I said , we were there Sunday afternoon and many of the stones were easy to read. Perhaps if you contacted the Historical Society someone would know the conditions of the stones you are interested in.

Hope this helps,
Pat
