Farmington Train Band??

I have several ancestors (LEE family) from early Farmington (late 1600's-early 1700's) that were part of someting called the "Farmington Train Band". Does any know what the "Farmington Train Band" was??

They have military ranks associated with this organization, but I can't seem to figure-out what this "band" was?

Any help is appreciated...thanks.
