I am looking for land record land of Joseph, Nathaniel and Eiljh and Rufus Messenger that lived in Hartford in early 1700's to 1820's.

I am trying to find out if Eiljah Messenger, or Nathaniel Messenger is the father to Rufus Messsenger. I do know that Rosannah Goddard is the wife of Rufus and that her cousin was married to Eiljah Messenger after moving to westfield, MA after the death of Eiljah Messenger 14 Dec 1802 Rufus Messenger bought land in the same area. So I feel lead to beleive that Eiljah is the father. But I need proof.
